Sunday Church School

Sunday School at St. Peter's is an interesting, involving, exciting introduction to our faith for children preschool through 12th grade. All lessons are presented through interactive sight, sound and touch media for greater impact and participation. The scriptures come alive for children through involving presentations of Bible stories with ample opportunity for feedback and discussion. The program is well-staffed and supported so that each child is given personal attention and guidance in getting the most in Christian formation from the Sunday School experience. All 7th – 12th grade students are encouraged to become assistant faith mentors for their own development as well as for their encouragement and good example to the younger children. Children are also prepared for First Communion by attending three months of special classes in lieu of regular Sunday School. Nursery care is provided for preschool children during Sunday services.

Bible Study

Bible Study is a life-long commitment and integral part of parish life at St. Peter's. Our approach is more prayerful than it is scholarly. While we study scripture in its historical context, we seek to think theologically about what is revealed in scripture and to put those lessons to work in guiding our daily lives. Our Bible Study group meets in the library after the 8:00 AM Sunday service. Coffee is served and all are welcome. Come for a single visit or make a long-term commitment, your life will be better for it.
